Wean for success: wean your foal with others and include daily handling and ground manners/basic training 2-4 times each week.  

Basic training lessons include lessons on: 

• Leading properly
• Standing still
• Having their feet handled & standing for the farrier
• Loading and trailering quietly
• Bathing & clipping quietly
• Remembering their manners in public & around other horses

Starting your foal correctly provides him or her with the right foundation, making future training that much easier.   Learning life skills at this age will give your young horse the start he or she needs for a long and productive career (regardless of the intended discipline).  We highly recommend this program for young sport horses, weanlings headed for the lunge line classes as yearlings, or those getting ready to go to a sale.  Well-trained, well-mannered young horses are more likely to remain sound and healthy, and are able to get down to the business of learning when they begin saddle training.  At shows and sales, other people will notice how sensational your weanling looks, not unruly behavior.

Weanling Kindergarten + Board is offered at $450/month and includes the above training along with our Standard Board.
